Soulton Hall stands as a testament to a remarkably long history. Archaeological finds reveal inhabitants as far back as the Bronze Age, and the manor’s Saxon name speaks to its likely agricultural or geographic roots. Soulton’s presence is documented in the Domesday Book of 1086 as “Svltune,” solidifying its existence well before the Norman Conquest. While a Norman castle once stood nearby, the current Soulton Hall itself dates to the 16th century.
