Jacob Chandler and some of the AS YOU LIKE IT DANCERS in Soulton Court

Meet Jacob Chandler, a brilliant artist we are proud to have commissioned now creating work on a global scale. He also navigates the challenges of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and colitis while serving as a dedicated ambassador for others living with EDS.

As many followers may remember, Jacob collaborated on a landmark exhibition featuring his monumental As You Like It dancers. Which recived this review from Shakeaspre’s Globe:

That 2024 project—exploring the deep historic ties between the grounds, Elizabethan theater, and the hidden geometry of Shakespeare’s woodland verse—was a tremendous success, bringing remarkable artistic energy to the historic spaces.

To witness his artistry expand from those roots into designing the striking trophies for the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards in London comes as no surprise given his exceptional talent, but it is nonetheless a joy to behold.

His thoughtful mastery of form, strength, and narrative shines through every piece he crafts.

At the same time, attention should also be drawn to another fascinating chapter of his ongoing work: his collaboration with Byrga Geniht via In Hoc Signo and othe developing projects.

This remarkable piece has recently been exhibited at Magdalene College, Cambridge, St James Garlickhythe (concluding its run today), and Colchester.

It is wonderful to watch Jacob’s creative journey reach new milestones, bridging history, geometry, and contemporary sculpture with such profound impact.

He is one of the most important tallents in Shropshire and beyond.
