As the festive lights begin to twinkle, our thoughts turn to a beautiful piece of history that is currently missing from our landscape: the remarkable Avenue of Elms.
This magnificent avenue stood tall from Tudor times right up until the 1970s, providing shade and beauty for centuries. Tragically, it was lost to Dutch Elm Disease.
It’s a huge task, but we want to remind everyone of this lost treasure because we have a very special goal:
One day, we will put back this lost avenue!
