Meetings in Whitehall, London, recently focused on the cultural heritage of Shakespeare, Soulton Hall, and architecture. These discussions underscored the importance of these topics within the context of this historic location.
The first meeting, with the Farmers Club, focused on Shakespeare, Soulton Hall, and their connection to the broader agricultural landscape. This involved a presentation of research and linked information, aimed at reaching a national constituency deeply rooted in agriculture, a constituency so ably represented by the Farmers Club. We explored how Shakespeare’s works and the historical context of Soulton Hall resonated with the agrarian themes that have shaped the country, and emphasized the importance of recognizing how farms and land-based businesses safeguard aspects of our national soul.
The second meeting, with Professor Patrick Lynch and his team, shifted our focus to heritage and architecture. We discussed the preservation and interpretation of historical structures, a topic of vital importance in understanding our cultural legacy, building upon years of association with Professor Lynch.
A further meeting was held with member of the Historic Houses Association to attend to shared aspects of national heritage presentation linked to Soulton and their manor.
