We’re pleased to provide an update following a recent meeting with our colleagues at the National Youth Theatre (NYT).

We recall with appreciation their specially devised piece performed here in 2020. This unique production demonstrated the NYT’s innovative approach within our setting. Additionally, we fondly remember their 2021 production of Animal Farm, which was staged at Soulton Hall, allowing us to observe the impressive talent the NYT cultivates in young performers.

For a rural venue like ours, these collaborations hold particular significance.
They contribute to providing access to high-quality national drama for young people and, importantly, for isolated rural audiences who might otherwise have limited opportunities to experience such productions. We believe that presenting these performances beyond major urban centres helps to broaden cultural experiences and foster a deeper connection to the arts in various communities.
Following our recent discussions, we’re hopeful about the potential for us to collaborate again on a new project. While details are still being developed, the prospect of combining Soulton Hall’s unique environment with the NYT’s theatrical expertise is something we are considering with interest.
We anticipate that a renewed partnership could once again bring a valuable youth theatre experience to our venue and the wider community, reinforcing the importance of making national drama accessible.
We will share further information as our plans progress. We are hopeful about what this potential collaboration might bring.
