Exploring Shakespearean Connections!
At Soulton Hall, we believe in fostering a love of history and literature, especially among the next generation. That’s why we were thrilled to visit Thomas Adams School in Wem at the end of Janaury to deliver a lecture to students in Key Stages 4 and 5.
A lecture was delivered wich explored the intriguing connections between Soulton Hall and William Shakespeare’s timeless play, As You Like It. We delved into the rich history of the house and its intriguing features, sparking lively discussions about Shakespeare’s creative process and the potential inspiration he might have drawn from such locations.
Engaging Young Minds:
The students’ enthusiasm and curiosity were truly inspiring! It was a pleasure to see their imaginations ignited as they explored the potential links between a historical location and a beloved play.
Building Bridges Through Education:
Educational outreach programs like this are a cornerstone of Soulton Hall’s mission. We believe that by bringing history to life, we can foster a deeper appreciation for the past and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
A Heartfelt Thank You:
We would like to extend a big thank you to Thomas Adams School for welcoming us and for their commitment to enriching the educational experience of their students. We hope the lecture sparked a passion for Shakespeare and English history that will continue to grow!
