Hampton Court Palace, a sprawling Tudor complex located on the banks of the Thames, is an extraordinary window into England’s past.

Literature enthusiasts will be fascinated to learn that:
- the Hampton Court Conference of 1604, which laid the groundwork for the King James Version (KJV) Bible, took place within these very walls; and
- the Great Hall at Hampton Court is largely the same space today as it was when William Shakespeare staged his A Midsummer Night’s Dream in front of James I.

We recently had the oportunity to visit it again, and look into and think about the links between this place on Soulton’s story, and Tim Ashton had the priviage, on this visit to read in a service in the chapel.
