We recently visited St Paul’s Cathedral in London to investigate historical connections during the Tudor period. Sir Rowland Hill, a key statesman associated with Soulton, was active during the reign of Henry VIII and into the time of Elizabeth I. His ties to Archbishop Matthew Parker, a prominent figure in the Reformation, are conectd to both Soulton Hall and St Paul’s.
