A new charity, the Rose Paterson Trust, is launching with a mission to address the critical issue of suicide prevention. This charity is especially important to the people of in North Shropshire. The Trust will focus on raising funds to:
- Consolidate existing suicide prevention projects: The Rose Paterson Trust will work to unify and strengthen existing local efforts aimed at suicide prevention.
- Amplify awareness: The Trust plans to raise public awareness about suicide prevention resources and mental health support services available in North Shropshire.
- Strengthen prevention efforts: Through fundraising, the Trust will provide financial support for local suicide prevention programs and initiatives.
- Additionally, the Rose Paterson Trust will campaign for national policy changes aimed at reducing the frequency of suicide. These efforts might involve lobbying for increased funding for mental health services, advocating for better access to crisis hotlines, or pushing for educational initiatives to promote mental well-being.
