Soulton Hall acknowledges its responsibility as the custodian of a site with recognized archaeological significance and 6 seasons of excavations attended to in the scheduled ancient monument – which is protected by the criminal law.
In fulfilling this duty, we recently hosted a visit from key archaeology stakeholders.
This engagement is a necessary step in ensuring the appropriate management and exploration of the historical assets present of this place.
The visit provided an opportunity to present the existing archaeological context of Soulton Hall and to engage in constructive dialogue regarding future research and preservation strategies.
Our aim is to facilitate informed collaboration with relevant experts and organizations to ensure that any future archaeological endeavours are conducted responsibly, ethically, and in accordance with best practices. We recognize the importance of their expertise in guiding our approach to understanding and protecting the heritage of Soulton Hall. This visit is a practical measure in upholding our commitment to the site’s long-term stewardship.
