We are revising our access routes at Soulton Hall to create a more efficient and safer one-way system. This crucial change is necessary to accommodate both our operational needs and the increasing demand to facilitate access to our important heritage assets.

The growing visitor interest—fueled by the Hall’s extraordinary links to Shakespeare and the landscape thought to have inspired the Forest of Arden in As You Like It—places continuous demands on the family.

We must raise funds and secure support to protect and maintain this significant cultural landscape and the house’s other vital heritage assets. These new access measures are designed to help sustain that critical mission.
Visitor and Resident Traffic Flow
To ensure a safe and smooth flow of vehicles and protect the sensitive grounds, please note the following imminent changes:
Parking and Access
This streamlined system allows us to implement better parking management, particularly concerning the essential landscape leading towards the iconic woodland view:
- Day Visitors: All day visitors without validated access needs will now park in the designated area of the Old Stack Yard.
- Gravel Forecourt: The Gravel Forecourt will shortly be signed for use by residents, family, and visitors with validated access requirements only.
Farming Traffic
To maintain safety and efficiency across the estate and minimize disruption to visitors enjoying the landscape:
- Farming vehicles will use the THIRD DRIVE ONLY, unless they are directly attending to the house or landscape areas.
