Sir Rowland Hill’s prayer room, connected to the concealed chapel, is a private space currently inaccessible to the public. The room features notable architectural and historical elements.
The floor has a Rithmomachia tile pavement.

A shared window with the chapel emphasizes the room’s spiritual function via the Office of Tenebrae. The lime-washed oak ceiling, with its lime-washed and carefully treated beams, indicates its status as a private space for the gentry. The room’s twelve joistsinvite a symbolic meditation on the twelve apostles.
