We were delighted to host today hosted a day of higher education outreach and participation in partnership with University College, Oxford. This event provided a unique opportunity for local students to engage with the university and higher education more generally, exploring academic disciplines, and gain valuable insights into higher education and how to apply.

The day was packed with a variety of activities designed to appeal to students of all ages and interests. Workshops and seminars covered a wide range of subjects, including:
Students had the chance to interact with University College Oxford outreach officers, who were on hand to provide guidance, answer questions, and share their personal experiences. This direct engagement helped to demystify the university application process and inspire students to pursue their academic goals.
University College is the lead college within Oxford for outreach in Shropshire. The have a special hub called staircase 12 to support this work and you can find that here.
