We were delighted to open our doors for the first open-air theatre production of the season at Soulton Hall. Classic Theatre Company brought their witty garden comedy, “Relatively Speaking,” by Alan Ayckbourn, to life in our beautiful walled garden.
The play unfolded perfectly amidst the backdrop of the garden’s flowers, creating a charming contrast to the characters’ domestic dilemmas. The audience, a mix of local Salopians and theatre enthusiasts, enjoyed the performance under the spring sunshine (or perhaps the stars, depending on the chosen showtime!).
This successful production marks a wonderful continuation of the tradition of open-air theatre at Soulton Hall, initiated by the Ashton family. We are grateful to Robin Case and Tim Ashton for their dedication to reviving this art form and for choosing Soulton as the setting for these captivating performances.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who came out to support the actors and experience the magic of live theatre in our unique setting. We look forward to hosting more open-air productions in the future!
