A visit from Tim Daw
We are always intrigued by innovative approaches to honoring the past.
Some years ago this led us to the Long Barrow at All Cannings, a unique and thought-provoking monument unlike any other in England.
Today, Tim cane to visit us as work on Soulton Long barrow come to a conclusion.
This striking structure, unlike its prehistoric counterparts, is a recent creation, completed in 2014. The brainchild of farmer and Stonehenge steward TimDaw, the Long Barrow is a fascinating example of how the past can inspire the present. It is part of the story as two why there is a new long barrow, Soulton Long Barrow, here in Shropshire.
The monument Tim built is is a meticulously crafted homage to a Neolithic barrow, the burial mounds commonly found across the UK countryside.
