Unravelling THE Tudor Tale

Soulton Hall is not a residence—it’s a dramatic tale that begins in a time of persecutions which opens the curtain on the Elizabethan Golden Age.

Built by ‘Old’ Sir Rowland Hill, this captivating house is steeped in intrigue. It served as a clandestine base for the Geneva Bible project, recognized as one of the most important texts ever created, showcasing defiance and scripture. The very ground you walk on is thought to have inspired William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy, As You Like It, making it a true Shakespearean sanctuary. Furthermore, the tour reveals hidden history, including rare access to the concealed chapel, the priests’ hide, the ancient Chess Court, and the Wren Steps.
