This Saturday, October 4th, at 10:30 am, we welcome the change of the season with a very special event:

“Unearthing Autumn’s Hidden Gems: A Fungi Foray,”

hosted in partnership with the esteemed Shropshire Fungus Group.

Autumn at Soulton Hall brings a unique sense of discovery, especially within our ancient grounds. For this foray, we are granting rare public access to the historic Soulton Wood, the setting affectionately known as the ‘As You Like It’ wood, as its rich ecology comes alive.

Led by expert guides, guests will step into this fascinating, often overlooked world, uncovering the diverse fungal treasures that thrive in the shadows of our historical woodlands. It promises to be an educational and deeply memorable connection with nature.

Gratitude and Awareness: Supporting the UK Sepsis Trust

The Fungi Foray is more than an exploration of nature; it is a meaningful opportunity to raise funds and critical awareness for the UK Sepsis Trust. Sepsis is a devastating, life-threatening reaction to an infection and is a leading cause of preventable death in the UK.

We extend our sincere thanks to all who have contributed so far. Your generosity, while modest, has helped us raise a fantastic £195.00 net before we even step into the wood. Every contribution is deeply appreciated and vital for the charity’s mission of raising awareness and supporting those affected.
