Soulton Hall is thrilled to announce an upcoming collaboration that links our historical setting with the vibrant energy of local young people. We’re presenting a special lecture, first given at St. Mary Abchurch in the City of London, specifically for the Shropshire Youth Theatre.
This unique session will explore the compelling relationship between ‘Old’ Sir Rowland, from Shakespeare’s As You Like It, and our very own ‘Old’ Sir Rowland Hill of Soulton and London, who was a cousin of Shakespeare’s. It’s a chance to examine the historical ties and broader cultural importance of these figures.
This partnership aims to highlight Shropshire’s rich cultural heritage and give young minds an enriching experience. We hope this initiative sparks further creative projects and deeper engagement with local history.
