Shrewsbury Arts Trail: A Summer of Creativity and Connection
The vibrant Shrewsbury Arts Trail returns this summer with an environmental theme, promising a delightful mix of sculpture and exhibitions, and has just been spotlighted by My Shrewsbury in this article.
We at Soulton Hall are particularly thrilled to see the involvement of several artists with whom we have a connection.

Shropshire’s own Halima Cassell MBE, currently in the running for the Queen Elizabeth II National Memorial, will be showing her powerful ‘Memento Mori’ sculptures and the thought-provoking ‘Virtues of Unity’ installation.
We’re also keenly anticipating “IN HOC SIGNO,” a collaboration between the talented Shrewsbury-born sculptor Jacob Chandler and Byrga Geniht. This symbolic, gold-plated bronze piece, inspired by Constantine and local history, is of special interest to us as both Jacob and Byrga have previously undertaken commissions for Soulton Hall.

It’s always rewarding to see artists we’ve worked with contributing to such a significant local event.
The Arts Trail’s impressive line-up also includes the distinctive works of Andrew Logan and Laura Ford, alongside the international perspective of James Tapscott. Beyond the sculptures dotted around town, visitors can explore exhibitions featuring masters like Dalí and Hockney, discover local talent, and participate in workshops.
We wholeheartedly support Jess Richards’ dedication in bringing such a diverse and high-calibre arts event to Shrewsbury, enriching our local cultural landscape. It’s a fantastic opportunity to experience art in unexpected places, and we encourage everyone to explore the trail this summer.
