Refugees recently resettled in Shropshire participated in a drama workshop at Soulton Hall this month, The workshop, led by the National Youth Theatre (NYT), aimed to support integration and self-expression.
Participants not only engaged in drama activities but also attended a performance of Animal Farm by the NYT’s Repertory Company.
The workshop itself involved various drama-based activities, including improvisation and storytelling exercises. It provided a space for refugees to share experiences and connect with others. The performance of Animal Farm offered a shared cultural experience and potential points of discussion related to themes of community, power, and displacement.
Soulton Hall hosted the event, providing the facilities for both the workshop and the performance.
