We were honored to be invited to a Wem Town Council meeting on 21 March brimming with creativity! The agenda? Helping our wonderful local town with planning a “Midsummer in Wem” celebration expected to happen on Friday, June 21st.
This exciting event promises to be a vibrant way to support local businesses, embrace the spirit of midsummer, and celebrate the enduring works of William Shakespeare!
The Town Council envisions a festive event filled with shopping opportunities throughout the town center.
Wem hopes to see the Jubilee Square and Wem Town Hall come alive and to add to the lively atmosphere, the Council is also exploring the possibility of featuring local entertainers performing Shakespearean excerpts and renditions inspired by the Bard’s timeless plays.
Soulton Hall is thrilled to show its support for this innovative initiative. We believe “Midsummer in Wem” has the potential to be lovely event, and we’re eager to contribute our ideas and enthusiasm to its success.
