A bird survey was conducted today at Soulton Long Barrow bird surveys.
These regular counts are an essential part of monitoring the biodiversity across the Soulton Hall estate and understanding which species are utilizing the landscape.
The Sightings
The session recorded a total of 15 birds across 9 different species. The data provides a snapshot of the bird life currently active around the barrow:

Observations
The presence of the Redwing and the Reed Buntings is a notable highlight for the site this February. Seeing such a variety of finches and resident birds like the Dunnock and Robin demonstrates the importance of the habitat managed here at Soulton.
