Should they be unavailable\, the tour will be led by one of our expert historians\, guaranteeing an authoritative and insightful experience. \nYou will step beyond the usual view to discover the building’s deeply layered\, sometimes secret\, heritage. These tours are your chance to unravel the truth\, stand in the footsteps of history\, and explore a tangible connection to the Tudor and Elizabethan periods. \nShakespeare\, Sanctuary\, and the Golden Age\nSoulton Hall is a tangible connection to the Tudor Period and the Elizabethan Golden Age. Sir Rowland\, a pivotal figure on the Privy Councils of four monarchs\, defied oppression by transforming his home into a clandestine base for work on publishing the Geneva Bible and the settelement it was delivered in to. \nThe house’s unique history and artistic network inspired William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy\, As You Like It. DESCRIPTION:A Charity Event for Macmillan Cancer Support \nWe are delighted to announce the return of our annual Bluebell opening. \nThis year\, once again\, we invite you to step into the “Forest of Arden”—the ancient\, magical landscape of Soulton Hall that inspired William Shakespeare’s As You Like It. \nAS YOU LIKE IT Blue Plaque at Soulton Hall \nExperience the historic Shropshire landscape at its most beautiful\, with bluebells at their peak and the rare sound of ascending skylarks. \nSoulton Wood\, inspiration for Thomas Lodge’s Rosalynde and for Shakespeare’s AS YOU LIKE IT \nAll proceeds from this event go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support to help their vital work in our local community. \n📅 Event Schedule\nDate: Sunday 26th April \nTime: 10:00am – 4:00pm \nTo maintain the tranquility of the woodland\, we ask that you book a specific arrival window for your visit: \n\n\nMorning Walk: Arrive between 10am – 11am \n\n\nLunchtime Walk: Arrive between 12pm – 1pm \n\n\nAfternoon Walk: Arrive between 2pm – 3pm \n\n\nAdmission & Booking\nAll tickets must be pre-booked online and are non-refundable. \n\n\nAdult: £7.50 \n\n\nChild: £4.00 \n\n\nFamily (2 Adults & 3 Children): £20.00 \n\n\n[BOOK YOUR TICKETS] \n\nVisitor Information\n\n\nThe Terrain: The walk explores natural woodland and field paths.
